What is the world coming too when a disgruntled boyfriend can shoot his girlfriend in the face at a Toll booth? What is this world coming to when healthy babies are thrown in garbage cans? I don't know but it feels like a very sad state of affairs. Usually I try to stay upbeat, but sometimes watching the news and reading the newspaper can be depressing.
What does the average person do to not let the state of the world, our economy, and their personal trials and tribulations get the better of them? Well for me its simple, you better have a higher power that you believe in. Doesn't matter if its God, Yahweh, Allah, Buddha, Virgin Mary or Superman...just believe in something. We as human beings are faced with so much more than our ancestors who walked the earth 100's and 1000's of years ago. I encourage everyone to stay grounded, stay focused and above all do not compromise your values or ethics because once you do it is a slippery slope down hill. (I bet the man who shot his girlfriend didn't wake up and decide to commit a crime. He probably started to show signs of mental instability long before he picked up the gun.)
O.K. well those are my thoughts, I would love to hear yours.
