Why are people phony?

I woke up happy that it was Friday and excited about the weekend. You know I try to stay positive and up beat about most things, but what I do not understand is phony and fake people. People that come off like they know EVERYTHING when they know absolutely NOTHING. I mean what is their purpose in life? Are they aware that they are coming off sounding like an idiot, or do they really think what's coming out of their mouth sounds intelligent?

Sometimes I think I should start referring people to the website called I am an idiot.com. Or have Jeff Foxworthy do a stand up show called: You know you're an Idiot When....

O.K. so I'm at work and a colleague is designated to show the group what the project is that we are all working on. (Common sense would dictate that they should know or have an idea of what we're doing) Boy was I wrong.....First off where is the common sense? Second) Where do these people come from? And who is screening them? Were they told that they'd be explaining to the group or did they just show up and was given the job....WTF?

So the group sits around for 3o minutes while EMPLOYEE X figures out what the hell is going on and what we all need to be doing. (Conjunction Junction, what's your Function?)

So don't try to BS your way out of it! Don't have an extended break! Don't get an emergency phone call you have to take and Don't send everybody to an early lunch. We already know you are clueless, we are just waiting for you to figure it out.

So here's to all the idiots, airheads, jerks, office hoes, brown nosers, relatives of friends and friends of friends...YOU KNOW YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND STOP PRETENDING YOU DO.

Ya'll know who you are.

The word for today is "Essential", as in Is it really essential to have the co-worker that has no knowledge, no training, no tact and recently just got the job to show up to the co-workers going away party that has been with the company over 20 years?

Racial Profiling is alive and well in this country.

There is a video circulating that has our president commenting on Gates getting arrested at his home in Cambridge. It is hard to believe that no matter how successful or how famous or how much money black people have, they still get discriminated and racially profiled. Check the video out. What are your thoughts?

Imitation is the Highest Form of Flattery

Today started like any other day, went to work rushed home to say bye to the girls before they went away for summer vacation, rushed back to work again. You know normal stuff.... Well only if it were that simple.

I have spent years attending self help seminars and business building workshops in my 30+ life. What seems to happen after so many times you hear, "Why are you hear?" What are your goals?" "What reasons do you have for not doing what you want, or signing up today?" "I've gone to the Seminar...Now What?" It all starts to make sense and you put 2+2 together and one day you are sitting in a coffee shop regurgitating all this information to a colleague and............. you wish you'd charged an hourly rate for all the helpful information you're spitting out.

WOW...this is great, you are thinking, I need to make this work for me. (Yes and I need to make lots of money at it!!) So thank you to all the Seminar, Self Help, You can do it, I have a dream, GURUS out there...I finally got it.

Oh and by the way, my rates are lower than yours!!!! Look for me in a town, city, shopping center, banquet room or coffee shop near you.
